what we know that will come in the next 1-12:
all variations of what we have will be released, this include all Minimatar and Ammar race vehicles of HAVs, LAVs and DSes as well as what ever else they release between now and then, as well as role variants (logi, Assualt etc). soooo we get:
Projectile turrets, Minimatar artillery and cannon small/large turrets. STD-PRO all types and sizes.
Laser turrets, Ammar laser turrets (possible 2nd type, Pulse Laser or scrambler, as in their AV variant or something). STD-PRO all types and sizes.
Minimatar Drop ships, STD-PRO all types.
Ammar Drop Ships, STD-PRO all types.
Caldari Drop Ships, STD-PRO all types. (adding the rest since we only have 3 of at least 9, a suspected 12 total).
Gallante Drop ships, STD-PRO all types. (adding the rest since we only have 3 of at least 9, a suspected 12 total).
pilot Dropsuit, 1 STD, 1 ADV, 1 PRO at the very least, unknown amount of racial variants either, but considering how they are going at this I would expect they give it all out, the Pilot dropsuit might be yellow colored light framed suits or something so they might look like the scout in till they create more frame appearances.

speeder bikes are a possible, all races, variants and roles are likely but these will be super weak and exclusive to transport rather then attack or support.
LAAs/fighters are also possible, all races, variants and roles are likely, weak and a low CPU/PG just like a LAV, the LAA focuses on it mobility, agility and 2 turrets to deal mass damage.
mechs and APCs aren`t hinted for upcoming release.
vehicle gear is unknown but hopefully PRO vehicle modules are added.
OK NOW TO THE POINT:
with all of the variants CCP will create a positive outcome for specializing. more bonuses for going all of 1 race and getting the best you can get will give you a better out come to mr all arounder, but how will this work?
I`m thinking turret proficiency will be re added BUT WITH A TWIST, +1% of damage per lv but upgrading it will give you those specific turret type/size damage mods. example, small laser turret proficiency lv3 will give lv3 turret damage mods, lv5 lv5 variants etc. even more reasoning of this is because there will be way to many turret damage mods available for that 1 skill, it makes sense SP wise, and role wise.
vehicle type skills, such as drop ship Power grid and HAV CPU, this will help balance the ranges between the vehicles allowing CCP to narrow down on 1 vehicle to balance it without changing others. this will not apply to skills that give modules like shield or armor, those will remain universal but for things that act as skill passive stat bonuses they can specialize. |
